Or medium brown suede.
Hmm, I probably did a number on my right shoulder playing baseball and tennis when I was younger. I never thought about it having an effect on jacket fit but I can definitely see where it would make a difference. I really think I need to get used to the soft shoulder.
You also have to ask yourself does the shoulder divot look "real person odd" or "StyleForum member odd." In other words, does it really stand out thaf much or are we just trying to hold an OTR jacket to bespoke standards?
Yeah, seriously. It's a solid fit for OTR. Can't get much better than that, unless you go for MTM to Bespoke.
This is a really important and often overlooked distinction
Some great last few posts!
And I think the suit looks great mossrocks.
I think you'd be filled with regret if you end up returning the pants. I believe the fabric is quite rare, and it would be difficult to complete the set.
Indeed, black shoes and a black or navy knit/grenadine.
It's really hard to screw up the shoes with a dark brown suit - just avoid the light browns and everything else works.
White Common Projects.
This is a matter of personal preference (and I have NO desire to get in a CM catfight over the sneakers and suits look), but people in the outside world eat this shit up.
It's been at least a decade since GQ et al began pushing the look and people still seem to react like it is the most edgy, visionary thing ever.
Oh no. Are we going into the chucks/jack purcells + suits argument?
Oh God, please no.
Here's something different to get us back on track:
You know what's fucking great? The "Sal" model trouser. Just got mine back from the tailor. Higher rise is surprisingly comfortable.
Got the oatmeal version from NMWA, would get the green ones in a heartbeat if they had my size...
Once most guys try natural waist trousers they don't go back. They are so. much. more. comfortable.
Like Greg said, don't over think this. i wear snuff and sand suede shoes with my brown suits. Really dark brown calf works as well.
. From looking at these two photos I would definitely say not to size up. I think its a keep or return thing but FWIW I think it looks great.
Will one of you fine connoisseurs of exquisite clothing provide me with the thigh measurement of a pair of 32 and 34 Eidos dress trousers?
Separate names with a comma.
