    Very nice Andrew

Last time I passed on a pair of dark oak Oundle on the 888 last. Let's hope I can repair that mistake this time around... [IMG]

Deja Vu G. I also passed on the Oundle in dark oak on the 888 and have been kicking myself since. I'm also looking to atone for my past transgressions.

Will EG ship the shoes to Canada?
I know some Jap shoes site has EG shoe pictures but, is there a site that lists pictures of most of EG shoes?

skyvalet's website is pretty good for that

If you can hold off, I would. The sale is still about 6 weeks off, but depending on your size, there may well be a treasure chest of riches on the list. Last go round I was able to get 5 pairs.

    Chelsea acorn 82 last
    Yardley edwardian 606 last
    Ladbroke mink suede 606 last
Warwick boot dark oak 888 last
    Malvern brandy wilow 202 last

Quite an assortment, so hold tight and wait for the sale!

In fact I'm looking for black shoes on the 82 last. Could be the Lichfield, the Berkeley, the Russel, or another comparable semi-brogue (Adelaide semi-brogue preferred)... Any chance, you think ?

I would rate your chances as outstanding. You will face little competition from fellow SFers for balck shoes. Last time around, the black shoes lingered on the list far longer than any browns and many nice examples were still available on the final day of the sale.

Not the pair of black Russels on the 82 last, though, which flew away in a few hours time in 8E...

Being EG deprived, I'm not sure what size I'd have to order from the UK.

If I can wear a 11.5 D US in the Mackay, would an 11 E UK work in most lasts?

Yes, that's my experience. Plus you would be looking for the Asquith from EG as Mackay is a model exclusive to RLPL.

What is the EG equivalent of the RLPL Mackay (presuming there is one)?

Someone pointed out on aother forum that there is a slight difference between the two, namely in the tongue area decoration.

The Mackay has broguing at the top of the tongue and I believe the Asquith does not.
