Anyone have any up close and personal experience with EG's diffusion line? I know it's still made in the US, but I'm curious as to the quality. It seems like coming in at a lower price point would entail jettisoning a few of the things that make EG special: namely triple needle stitching and other construction details.

Anyway, I can't really find any detailed photos on the web, but I did notice The Bureau will be getting a few things soon.

from some blog...
"The EG Intermediate line uses the same production line as Engineered Garments, thus material and production quality is ensured to be congruent to the mother brand."

I really have no idea what the purpose of this sub-line is.

No kidding, it certainly doesn't seem to be at diffusion line prices. It's not replacing Workaday is it?

I've only seen the suit, and I like it. It is still not cheap, the suit was like $2000 in Asia.

The intermediates are released between the seasonal runs (SS and FW) that seem to be very simple versions of things. Shirts and pants, maybe some outerwear. Shirts made of plaids that didn't make the original run or to test out a plaid that might be in future runs. I recall that one intermediate shirt was made of a plaid pattern that was eventually used in a following FW season. They are almost like B-Sides (to records/tapes/cds for those that are old/resourceful enough to remember).
