I've taken a few crappy pics in a Large EG flannel, and a Large BoO oxford. My sense is the flannel is pretty decent in the upper body & shoulders, but is obviously long and a little overflowing towards the bottom. Too long? Can shirt be shortened successfully? Or is it just too big? Unfortunately I don't have a medium to try on, but the L measurements on paper seemed pretty good, length aside. Next is the BoO: pretty snug from top to bottom (need to lose a few lbs...), but again, a bit long. Too long? Worth shortening? Overall, it seems like the EG is cut to be a bit more drapey, and the BoO obviously more trim & fitted. Opinions?

I dunno if BoO is for you. It seems a bit long in the sleeves and draping weird. As if you had to size up to accomodate for the slimness, which made the rest fit a bit off. I mean, it fits alright and all, but i think you can find something better for your body in the BoO price range.

From what i've seen with guys wearing BoO. If you have to noticeably size up, the fit sometimes looks a bit off for what it should for a $200 shirt

pictures are ****** but the band shirt is too long (saying this is a first) and the body has no shape.

Those jeans have a lot of stacking going on. Even with that much cuff. Not bad at all, just noticing it. It looks like the cuffs are rolled up on the EG? Is this just a bad angle or am I right?

I actually think the oxford looks fine and fits you well but would look better with the sleeves rolled up and different jeans (something rinsed with a slight taper and properly hemmed). What BoO does really well is casual and whimsical but the way you're wearing it looks like you're going to the most banging night club... in Alaska.

someone who blogs about clothing, forgot his name, wears that EG shirt and makes it look really good. That shirt is just not working on you though.

I like your cat though

BoO is most likely not for me: pot-bellied, middle-aged men are most likely not their target demographic. Nonetheless, I thought I'd give it a shot, and hey, I'm gonna lose some weight (honest!).

Band shirt? Not sure which shirt you are referring to; criteria could apply to either one.

Yes, rolled up, albeit haphazardly.

Thanks (I think), yeah I wasn't really going for an all out "look", but what you are saying makes perfect sense.

I hear you; looking at pics of myself I get a kind of maternity dress vibe, which is probably not the intended result. Oliver is an awful good boy, rescued (literally) off the streets of Boston (J.P.) as a kitten this past May. Here's a a few bonus pics:

He does very well for himself. Unfortunately, some of that comes at the expense of his older brother, the formerly only child/catman Clayton.

I may not know ****** from a properly stacked pair of jawnz, but I have excellent taste in felinez.

I really like how your cat wandered into the shot after you put on the BoO shirt like HEY WHATS GOING ON

haahaa.

I like the boo shirt better though. Try rolling up the sleeves pretty high, it might just be my person style preference but lately thats the main way I've been wearing my l/s shirts.

A few more more takes on the BoO. Warning: these pictures may not be suitable for the young, slender & faint of heart.
