Just got some new shoes, thought we could take a peek at them side by side:

The antiqueing on the EGs is definitely more extreme. Just a different look, I guess. I am very happy with both styles...

Thoughts?

I asked Tom at Leathersoul if EG's Burgundy was different looking than G&G's Rioja and he responded yes (keep in mind he stocks both companies products)

I have a Wigmore boot, in Rioja, with heavy antiqueing/burnishing on order and due within the week...it would be interesting to see how it compares to the EG Lommond on Tom's web site with Burgundy with heavy antiqueing

Looking at both of the OP's shoes...G&G's has a bit more brighter red to their Rioja and that's how Dean Girling explained it to me back in April.

I like both shoes as their is a very slight shade difference...enough to make them two different colors to me

Now if only the OP had a pair of Oxblood color shoes for a three way dance
