I'm thinking of picking up a pair of EG Belgravias at Maus & Hoffmans.

I wear an 11D in Alden and AE tassels. However, they don't have that size in stock. Instead they have 10.5C, 11C, and 11.5C. Can I get away with an 11.5C, since I think the width is the same as an 11D. Or would an 11.5C be too long?

Any advice from EG fans would be appreciated.

Well, I can give this one a shot (even at the chance of losing the sale). I would say that the EG is a little shorter than the AE (no experience with Alden). Also, the C width will be as wide or wider than a Ferragamo Tramezza D. I think the C width in Eg is going to be narrower than the D in AE.

Having said all that, I think the 11.5 C is worth a try. I will refund purchase price plus original shipping, so, you will only be out the return shipping.

Hopefully I bump your thread and you get more input from the collective inteligentsia on this forum.

Just got my burgundy EG Sloanes from Maus and Hoffmans today.

They fit like a glove and look terrific. Thanks very much. I am a happy customer.
