Looks like trousers are getting a bit higher waisted across the board with an aggressive taper.
I think a high waist requires fuller cut legs. Of course that would preclude the flood water look.

If you don't have a small waist a high waist isn't going to be very flattering with an aggressive cropped leg.
True and a high waist accentuates the hips which can make even the flattest bellies look thicker.

Sort of like an upside down bowling pin look?
Yeah, it can make your legs look spindly.

These two gents appear to have comparable physiques so you can see what effect a slightly higher waist and slightly closer cut leg can have.

I much prefer this to a beer belly hanging over the belt of lower waisted trousers.
Yep that's a tragic look. Big bellies are best served by high waisted trousers held up with suspenders. Oughta be a law.

Of course most of the camera focus is on trim, guys and what they are wearing. It would be interesting to see more of what some of the well dressed but larger guys are wearing and how they tailor things to get a flattering look. Not all of us have a 29" waist :)

Every 6 months those who are on the serious tailoring business got to suffer this profanation of the classic style and mock of our profession by untailors ( seen a few) owners of bankrupted shops, fakers who try to fool people and the frequent faces that DO NOT belong to this profession even they want to fool they are.

You won't see any real and serious tailor on that circus. In fact all were this morning working as always here in Naples.

I hope it closes asap as i said it 6 months ago it will do soon.
