I just received my first pair of EG shoes from GVH...the coffee suede Mackays in size 8 and they are a perfect fit....beautiful shoes. I am normally a 40.5 EU (US 7.5D) in all the Italian shoes I own (Lidfort, Mantellasi, Harris etc.) but went up half a size in the Mackay based on some of the comments on the forum.

I'd like to purchase more EGs but need an education on the difference between the various EG lasts. For example I'm interested in the Barksdale but don't know if I would be a 7.5 or an 8. Any help would be much appreciated.

The fit is very different, much narrower and a bit longer. I own Mackays but cannot fit into the Barksdale.

It all depends on what lasts these shoes are on - I'm not sure if RLPL is mixing and matching the lasts, or sticking with one last per model. I think I've seen the same model on different lasts, so you might need to inquire more.

I wear an 11D in both. strange. the mackays are perhaps a tad loose but the 10.5 was way too tight.

The 888 is the only EG last that fits my foot at all.
