The label in the insole is different from the usual printed gold lettering, is this EG new labeling?
No, it's EG's old labelling.
That joint-up writing hasn't been used for at least ten years; it's scrapping might coincide with the split from Hermes. Also all EG shoes use consecutive numbers (I believe for orders or batches, not individual pairs). Your pair is 6k, current production must be somewhere in the late 50k.
If you're really keen, contact the factory. They can look up the number and tell you month and year of production.
It's also on the 88 last, which hasn't been used except for special orders in quite some time.
