What do you guys estimate to be the age of these and are they Edward Green? I believe the numbers are unique to Edward Green as is the Nail Pattern. Your thoughts?

I think they're EGs, size 8.5 medium width(?) according to the old numbering system. I think they're probably early to mid eighties. One of the more knowledgeable members might have a different opinion, though . . .

I was thinking that the Nail Pattern definitely gives credence to being Edward Green.

Yes, they were made by EG.

The all-leather heel with close-set nails dates them quite early. By the mid-70s they were already using a leather heel with rubber top lift.

And while accepted wisdom has said that Brooks Brothers began offering ready-made Peals in 1965 when the bespoke Peal operation ceased, I have seen a newspaper advertisement for Brooks Brothers offering Peal shoes, ready-made. It is dated 1936. I don't think these are that old, but I'd place them in the 60s.

Unfortunately they are not my size, so I shall sell them to someone who will appreciate and take care of them. If anyone wishes to make an offer, feel free to do so.
