For a future EG trunk show, I was thinking of requesting a "frankenshoe," i.e., a shoe composed of elements from two different models. I noticed a pic in the Shoe Pictorial thread of a Ladbroke with a Southwold toe and Andrew posted a pic of his Cardiff with a Southwold toe. How accommodating is the MTO program to significant modifications such as these? Is there an upcharge over the normal upcharge? Any limits on modifications now that the Top Drawer program is taking flight?

I thought I read here that they had sort of decided not to allow that degree of flexibility any more in MTO. Top Drawer would have no limitations, however.

Hmmmm, if I can play Eye-gor to your Victor, what kind of Franken-shoe, master? What would it look like?

I like the idea of a Kibworth but with a wingtip design.

Something close to the Attlee then? Yeah, that'd be nice.

If Green makes all Frankenshoe orders kick up to Top Drawer, that might deter some purchases. Unless we buy a few less ties or something to budget for it.

I was thinking of a Newbury with an Inverness toe and heel counter. In midnight.

I can just imagine Hillary's response: "Oh, that sounds bloody awful . . ."

Sounds like the middle is a little bit... nekkid.

"Yes, yes. Raise the platform."
"Oh. Ze platform. Oh, zat, yah, yah... yes."
