Distressing.

If they do, they will lose a lot of business. Certainly mine.

We should lodge a protest.

I had a feeling the reports were not true. It seems like the MTO program is a real profit center for EG and drives customer loyalty. Good to know!

I hope this is just some kind of a sick joke. I had a list of shoes I was planning to order during the next trunk show.

Perhaps the reintroduction of their "Top Drawer" line has something to do with this? I know that EG is banking on that line being able to go head-to-head with John Lobb Prestiege.

Anyway that you look at it, it's quite dificult to be profitable doing one offs of anything.

Just been to the Jermyn Street shop to hear it from the horse's mouth (manager Raymond Fox):

False Alarm!!!

EG is stopping a bespoke service (we all knew that, Tony is leaving),
EG is not stopping made-to-order (one-offs).

All of you can continue to order the model, size, last, leather and sole treatment of your choice.
