Anyone here have the Galway Black Cordovan & London Grain that's for sale on their webstore now?

I'm going on a short trip where it's expected to rain throughout the day.
I'm considering bringing only the Shanklin and spraying them with the Saphir Invulner.

Will they handle the task? I'm worried as they are unlined.

Are you heading for the tropics or a cold climate? Might make a difference to drying out time. I cannot see them being unlined will affect them - might even be better as only one layer of leather to dry out

Not that cold, 15 C during the day. The only downtime for the shoe will be while I sleep.
My concern comes from the feet getting wet because it's only one layer.

In that case without an umbrella, yes, more chance of your feet getting wet

Hi!

So I have tried to find out more about the Ventnor loafer. I love my Picadilly's, specifically the strap and apron proportions, and have seen it stated online that the Ventnor is an unlined version of the Picadilly?

Is this right? I.e. that the the strap and apron design is identical to the Picadilly?

I don't think that the apron design could be the same if it's unlined. The Picadilly has a split apron if you look closely (except on suede and cordovan).

The Ventnor only comes with R1 and are always unlined, the strap is narrower vertically and the overall length of the vamp is longer.
IMO the Piccadilly is more elegant with its proportions and the Ventnor almost looks like the Sydney from C&J.
If you like the Piccadilly go for the unlined version you won’t be disappointed. Ventnor is more attractive in terms of pricing but Piccadilly is a better style overall.
