Fresh from Oslo…thanks Kevin!
Heel slippage is usually reduced when the leather soles are broken in.
They are a little stiff when new.
I have 2 EG loafers both on the 184E last. If you get TTS and has some heel slight, it is likely not going to go away and will only get worst.. I sold off my UK9 after a couple of wears thinking the heel slip will go away but it got worst as the width expanded accelerating the heel slip... thereafter I bought 2 pair of Uk8.5 and on the first wear it have minimal heel slip. I still have not worn the loafers long enough But I don’t expect heel slip will appear once the width expanded to the fullestMy pair of EG Belgravia's in UK 10 arrived today and while trying them on I get a bit of heel slippage. I have pretty wide feet and a bit of a higher instep and it fits very comfortably at the vamp and widest point of the loafer. I am worried that the heel slippage will be persistent. Do you guys think the heel slippage will reduce when I break them in? I am quite worried that I won't fit comfortably if I go down a half size. I tried on a Piccadilly (I know its different to the Belgravia) for example in a UK9.5 a month back and couldn't even really get my foot into the loafer.
Agreed, cannot speak highly enough of the customer service from the gents at Cavour ?Thanks, Kevin! What a coincidence that the store who sold me the beautiful pair are the first to answer Top notch customer service!

When you try on new there will definitely be tightness in the vamp but as the width expanded (just in a short while by inserting it with shoes tree for a few days) it will fit comfortably thereafter..Do you not have any issues with tightness in the vamp or toes when you sized down to UK8.5?
It’s difficult to say for sure, but it usually reduces. If not then a tongue pad to push your foot back into the heel cup may help. any restock of edward green in the pipeline?Boom!
Mink Suede all day!
Thanks good sir!
It seems like the width is causing the issue of heel slip.. there should be too much volume in the shoes?
