I don't sense a lack of love for it. Rather, it just doesn't get mentioned much. Can anyone speak to sizing the 808 relative to the 888?

    Great looking pair!
My guess is that the supply of footwear on the 808 is limited compared to the 888 and the 82. With the new 890, I'm sure we'll start seeing more of that and less of other lasts Speaking of uncommon lasts: 33 [IMG] Anyone else have a pair in the 33?

And since you wouldn't go for the Falkirk your probably due for a shoe or two anyways. So consider the Crup like two pairs of shoes.

The 808 causes fit issues or problems for many, according to Tony Gaziano, who developed the last during his time at EG. I believe the 808 last was originally used exclusively for the first iterations of EG bespoke and Top Drawer. It is worth doing a search on the subject in this thread or elsewhere on the web because there are more detailed sources of information. I have no qualms with the 808 as it fits my feet, but I prefer the Great 88 last more than both the 808 and its successor last the 888.

The 890 last looks like a tweaked version of the 89 last, and between the two, I prefer the look of the 89. There are a few lasts that are primarily relegated to MTOs these days, e.g. 33, 32, 505, 707-Alan Flusser, 89-Ralph Lauren, 808, 88), as EG does not offer them much (or at all) in the ready to wear stock line. I like to wear the same family of lasts mostly for laced shoes (202, 606, 89, 64), despite owning a wide variety of lasts.

Does anyone have experience with the 707 or 505? I realize the you would be old to the EG game to have 707 lasted Flusser shoes.

Yes. Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, I own the very model you are wearing, in the same color. :D

That's weird, I talked to EG about this just a few months back and the only boot they would do in crup was Alderley.
