There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Apologies, I believe the "chestnut Shannon's" are actually a burnt pine "Alderly". :embar: still - to me, very nice.

Please advise the sizing of the Gallways on the 64 and 58 lasts.
    I'm UK9,5 in both D202 and E888.
202 fits perfect and the 888 is snug in the toebox even after few wears.

I asked Tassels' but their answer is not clear to me:

"The 58 last fits very spacious in terms of the volume and width.
The last is meant to be worn with thick wool socks so I would say they fit big compare to the 82 or 202 but not necessary to size down."

What do you think, should I stick to my normal UK9,5 or size down 1/2 size?

depends on what socks you intend to use. if you use big socks, go true to size. thin wools / cotton, size down half a size.

I went TTS on my Galways on the 64 (9.5 here, too). The last is roomy enough to accommodate thick socks but works just as well with thinner socks (which is what I think they were saying in the answer above).

[IMG] [/quote] With these boots you would wear a slightly thicker socks I wear the Falke TK2 socks so I would go with your normal size but it also depends if the last is an E or F fitting because my Galway boots are on the F last which are a bit wider I went for a size 8 normally with the 82 or 202 or 888 last I take an 8.5

Wearing country boots with silk hosiery is akin to wearing full tweed suit with white marcella shirt with stiff wing collar and white tie.

IMO, don't size down, wear it like a country boot with thick country socks.

i didnt realize guys around here wore their wives' underwear

if you have a fat foot, then got tts. if you wear dress socks with a dress boot, like the shannon/galway, than size down a half size. unless of course, you live in frigid conditions and require the added warmth that comes from a thick; in which case id recommend going tts

For once EG's winter sale was a success for me. Over the summer I decided my next MTO would be an olive Beaulieu on the 82 last.
Just as I had a coffee in a Pret a Manger at around noon on Thursday a Tweet arrived the EG sale would start "today".
And as I went window shopping on Jermyn Street I found an olive Beaulieu on the 82 last in my exact size and width. :slayer:

Very nice. Mind if I ask how much the sale shoes were reduced?

Did you ask poncy and French for the "Belljöh" or English down-to-earth for the "Bjulee"? :)

Is that what constitutes a "sale" nowadays?
