    It was right around $950. Not quite the same money as the EG but close enough for me to think about it.

    Yep - a bit more angular than the 888.

    On its own the 890 looks basically indistinguishable from the 89 last. I'd be interested in a side by side comparison between the 890, 89, 888 and perhaps an 808 for good measure. Cheers.

    A bit sleeker and (I know I'll get killed for this...) without that slight "blobbyness" of 888.

    Actually reminds me of the Vass U. I don't think the 89 is as chiseled as the 890 as the slope is softer with the former: [​IMG]
