^^^ God info. Would you say that the Shannon is - even slightly - a closer, less roomy fit than the Galway in any area other than the heel cup?

No, it feels pretty much identical everywhere else. I was a little concerned the instep would be different, but even that is the same.

Nice comparison thanks for sharing. One day I might have to get another Balmoria boot.

Nice comparison. I never noticed the heel cup between my Shannons and Galways but I do prefer the more stable fit of the Shannons since the Galways are unlined. I should be getting those dark oak Shannons in the next few months (I was in a latter group). @leaves do you know if it's possible to pick up a couple of extra boot laces from EG? I prefer their newer flat boot laces.

Belgravia is perhaps the nicest looking tassel I've ever seen, and a great model. Tassels just don't get too much love in general, even on the Alden thread, since the younger generation rarely wears them. Also, to me at least, the tassel is rarely a "beginner's shoe;" that is, most collectors get it after they've exhausted the staples: bal, derby, penny, boot, monk, etc.

Many people seem to hate tassel loafers. I would not wear them every day but at least one pair of in your face tassels should be in a mans wardrobe IMO. Both above pairs MTO.

Skoak carries a beautiful chestnut Belgravia, and Citi Shoes NYC carries it in Doak and Black, for those interested.

Well I hear loafers a lot and in my case I started to develop my rotation from there but now I am considering to do some modifications and get a pair of "in your face" tassels :)

Here is my loafer rotation (non EG)

This is the reason why the Belgravia called "King of the Tassels"!

Nice inventory. Maybe I missed it, but no derbies/bluchers? Other boots/chukkas? Suede?
