@wurger has an excellent thread on the black dress oxford you might want to check that out. I would certainly consider the John Lobb Philip II and the Vass OE on the F Last.

I was thinking of going the other way, haha. Maybe a C&J or even Carmina.

Different strokes for different folks and @wurger also has C&J represented as well. However his thread had the opposite effect on me. I'll probably go with EG but there is a small chance I may chose Vass.

This is the black captoe thread. It's a great analysis.

It inspired me to step up my game from CJ Handgrades to EG Chelseas (thanks also to Skoak), although my order will take a couple of months.

82 Last. I have the Doak ones on the 82 as well, and I love the shape for the Chelsea. To be honest, I am not the biggest fan of the 202 for Bals.

Congratulations on the new Chelseas, by the way! As many have said, they are wonderful. They are certainly a staple that I go to frequently.

Thank you sir. I've certainly neglected some of those staples for way too long, but then again it's never too late. I just determined it was about time I did so.

congrats on the chelsea man. I have the same.
I going through the same doubts at the moment regarding black cap toes: buy now carmina and then sell to buy chelsea or buy directly chelsea.

    Thank you sir.

I've always found it best to be patient when necessary and get the item you really want than to go for the quick fix. Because in the end you'll spend more and be equally more frustrated because you didn't do it the right way in the first place.

How true. And congrats on your Chelseas - hard to beat.

Here's a couple straps with Zugs - I think the Vintager Corojo (not shown) has more red which would look nice.
Even thought these aren't all 'matches' a couple of them are in the range, I think. The 2nd shot is in daylight.
The ammo strap looks very good with the boots, but it may not work on your Red Sub.
Micah's very helpful if you want to get in touch with him.

    Thank you sir.

Those are some bad a$$ boots and a fabulous watch. Congrats, and thanks for the strap suggestions.

It would certainly be fabulous if we could find a Zug strap.

I love me some PAM 112/176. Eventually I will kop one...gotta stop buying shoes. I am the guy in $50 trousers and $1500 shoes. A bit skewed.

While we're on the topic of Chelsea, here are mine, next to my newest acquisition, the JL Warwick 7000 Prestige. These shoes mean business - kick ass now, take names later!
