Felt the same way because I couldn't find a pair that fit properly... then came G&G and JL loafers (in addition to a random pair of Paul Stuart Italian pair). I'm sure EG would fit well but I don't want to open that can of worm at this point.

Felt the same way five years ago. Now I have two pairs.

    Ha!

Dover "Internet fuss" is not even close to, say double monks. I doubt you'll ever see Lino Ieluzzi or Luca Rubinacci wearing Dovers, casually unlaced on the left foot. :D No, the Dover is the sensible mans double monk. :nest:

I suspect that at the age of 70, I would still rather piss on my feet than wear a Dover.

    The unpretentious crowd, then? :)
I'd rather wear a Dover than a tassel loafer. Tassel loafers make people look even older than wearing odd jackets or houndstooth trousers. Worn whilst poncing around eating caviar, no doubt [IMG]
    Guilty.

    Not guilty.

Don't get me started on double monks, really... [IMG]

I suspect that at the age of 70, you may not have a choice.

Maybe, maybe not, but it's always dodgy making assumptions based on your own set of circumstances... :D

It's no problem for CTBrummie since he has so many veldt boots. Pee will just add patina :)
