^^^ Yeah I loved the 3-eyelet derby too, looks so great on the new 890-last.
New GMTO then, 3 eyelet plaintoe on the new 890 last!
What was your first hand impression of the 890 last, relative to the 888?
Also that Hatchgrain Galway is superb!
Sleeker with a lower, smaller toe, and more chiseled sides. Much better than 888 IMO. I've always called 888 Tony Gazianos failed attempt to do MH71
Hmmm yeah It reminded me of the u last. I really hope they keep 888
If it fits like the U last then I'm screwed. I also hope they hold on to the 888 last, for at least a couple of years
^^^ They are supposed to fit exactly like 888 almost. Didn't look that much like U at all, IMO. Maybe if you look at it from straight above, but not from any other angle. If you have 202 as master last, as all EG lasts do, you can't create something that is similar to U..
The feeling I had was that they plan to exchange most models to 890 in the recent future, and just keep 888 for MTO:s, but could be wrong.
888, mh71, and 890 all look like winners to me. Are you familiar with how EG names their lasts? 101, 182, 202, 32, 64, 606, 82, 808, 888, 890, etc
No, don't know if there's a system for what they call their lasts. I've learned "the G&G code", I'm pleased enough with that
I prefer the 888 to the MH71.
Well, it ain't Zug.
You know, in all the excitement I don't remember if I ordered 5 pair or 6 pair - so, you gotta ask yourself: "Are you feeling Zuggy? Well, are ya punk?"
I'm not that lucky to dodge a Zug. Even if you ordered 55.
Thanks for sharing.
Some cool looking shoes and boots.
Ah yes, looks as though my package should be here tomorrow.
interesting. 2500 is expensive though, once we get into that region I'd just go the whole hog and get traditional full bespoke.
