speaking of wives, does yours wonder if "Svenska Skoaktiebolaget" on your credit card billing statement is a Swedish call girl?

"honey, i swear, it's the name of a shoe store!" [IMG]

Thank you all very much! And a big thanks to @CTBrummie who got me interested and provided loads of useful information before the ball really started rollin. Sorry he couldn't participate in this round, but I'm sure he'll make do with that collection of his :nodding:

Nah, that can't be it. My guess is its walnut CC on the uppers and regular doak on the shaft.

That's kinda what I figured. Looks pretty light for DOak. Probably just the lack of burnishing.

Yeah, but the walnut cc look pretty light too, so it must depend on the photo/lighting. Plus, this could be one of the lighter doak batches.

Speaking of doak batches, have a look at this picture:

Now, the Dover, Ecton and the Wells in the first row, the Inverness in the second and the Galway (except the shaft) are all in doak. But the differ pretty much from each other in hue and lightness, right? Thats a kinda big difference, IMO too big a difference for a premium brand like EG,

Isn't each shoe colored(finished) individually? That was the impression I got. It's not like they are using a leather where the color is tanned into it. Am I way off base here, boys?
