I hear your point, I just happen not to agree with it. I think it makes sense for everything to be in one place initially and if makeups get to the point of being serious then they move to an affiliate thread. This is the same philosophy as many other threads on the site.

I posted a question yesterday regarding edge trim colors and got zero response (including you). Should I then complain that this thread has gone to sh$t?

Yea, but you were only asking because it had to do with an MTO. If you asked because you wanted more knowledge about EG edge colors then asked where to buy said edge color we all would have respeonded.

People need to learn basic SF lesson which is that any complaint about a thread going off topic will be met with between 1 and 2000 responses that are equally or more off topic, including ones like this one.

    You're damn right it is...

Do people really get that upset about derails? WE are grown men talking about shoes on the internet. Time to lighten up and take ourselves a little less seriously here, guys.

exactly - simply meant to say the complaints do not exactly work to the favor of whoever is complaining

Hey, I resent that. I finally scored the shed out back.

I mow the lawn for it - thereby subjecting my boots to real world working conditions and awesome patina effects and stuff

    +1, more derbies please.

By the way, did we ever get an answer about the difference between the Sandringham and the Derwent?

I beleive this is called pin grain or dark brown pin grain. These are smaller grains than regular grain. Hey @gyasih this one might be calling you. It would have been mine but 82 last does not agree with my feet.

Thanks...now I see a few. The Dover on 82 looks surprisingly good. That could start another 20 pages of GMTO talk!
