Open your eyes to the other side! For the longest time I was an ass man but I've come to appreciate the upper half. Just give it a shot that's all eye ask

You can say that again. I must be an outlier because I cannot wear 888 last. It seems to me that 808 could be good for my feet. To be honest I even like 808 more than 888, but majority of models arer made on 888 last. 808 last does resemble C&J 337 last a little bit.

You know I was not sold on Nevis either but I began to like that square apron too. Nevis looks like a ultimate bad ass boot.

Sorry to hear that, but hey your still going to get them at the right time of the year.

I try to look at it this way.

This is a hobby for me and I do it for fun. I try not to get frustrated when I'm having fun.
Anything I'm ordering is worth the wait or it's not worth ordering in the first place.
The anticipation of waiting for it is all a part of the fun. In the long run I'm going to have it much longer than I'm ever going to end up waiting for it.
I currently have more than I'll ever need, so if I have to wait a little longer I can either due with what I have or maybe it's time to order a few more. LOL

It is! I'm with Laufer. Nevis is an acquired taste. Wasn't a fan of Dover either but after lurking around here I can't get enough

I'm looking to order a pair of EG's...something that I can wear out in the woods while shooting skeet. It has to be able to trek through rain, mud, and snow.

Thoughts on which model and mockup would be most suitable for this?

The only requirement is that it has to be badass and durable.

Veldtschoen Galway on Ridgeway. Zug (probably none left) or CC.

I got my first split toe awhile back a Black Peal & Co.[IMG] Algonquin Split-Toe. I like them.

I'll be getting my first Dover in January or February, I'll probably get one or two more Dovers eventually.

Galway boot, Country calf (you choose color), 64 last, Veldtschoen construction, Medway or Rideway sole. It's the classic country boot from EG.

    I'd ask for Zug.

The worse they could say is no.

The Nevis is the tits. I would have wanted in if it wasn't mahogany. I don't want dovers and Nevis in same country calf color. Too redundant.

I would say that this from Orvis is the most appropriate footwear http://www.orvis.com/p/le-chameau-heritage-boot/4y42

However if you insist on EG, Skoaktiebolaget will soon have in stock, shearling lined Galway on ridgeway soles with veldschoen construction.

Yes but you would have the same color in two different lasts. :D

I am with you man two same CC colors are probably redundant.

I am keen now to get a pair of EG to go alongside these...
