1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

This could be a starting point for an interesting (and helpful) discussion. Apology if it has been raised before.

If you could only own one pair from each maker, what would that be, and how your collection would look like?

We should seriously start a GMTO-thread for F-width-footed people. In 202 and 64 I can take E width, but for the sharper lasts I require F.

Not very keen on the Dover atm tho :hide:

If you want stock model you don't need to gmto, just get 2 other people to order with you (I don't beleive it has to be same wdith) and then you can place order

Correct, as long as there are three orders you can order a different width.

Kick ass! However, most of what I desire is MTO nowadays  But really nice to know nevertheless...

I had a tailor stitch the inside of the pull tab to the back of the boot, so the pull tab is no longer "hanging loose," yet still maintains its functionality. The tailor laid a single thick stitch through the inside part of the pull tab loop, if you will, and it works and looks great.

We're sending through a restock order for Dark Oak Dover on the 606 sometime early September. This will be a good opportunity to get different widths for this make up.

anyone have a side-by-side pic of rosewood cc and mahogany cc? which is lighter? how would you describe the difference?

i'm asking b/c I'm considering the SkoakAB GMTO and want to see which to buy, assuming they're both available at some point.

Rosewood cc is more red and lighter in color. Mahogany cc is more brown and darker in color. Both are great colors and you will want both eventually, it is just a matter of figuring which models. Here is a swatch from top to bottom

    Almond
    Rosewood
    Mahogany
    Walnut
    Black
