1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Guys, good news on the GMTO in edwardian! Patrik from Skoak has just informed me that we can get at GMTO going if we can find at least four people (three excluding me) who would go with the following specs:

    - Alderley, 202 E
    - Edwardian antique
    - Double leather soles
    - Regular welt
    - Natural colour sole edges

How does that sound to you? :D

Note: Does not have to be E width, any width will actually work. We'll stock this model up if we get enough participants so the minimum 6 consecutive pairs will be covered by us, so go crazy with the widths. :) Just remember that 202 is a quite generous last.

Btw, does this mean that only a 25% deposit will be required? :lurk:

What are the specifics of this boot, style, last, etc? I wear a lot of dark brown and grey in the fall/winter and would love to do a MTO of these, what's EG's MTO timeframe these days? Thanks

    Correct, only 25% deposit required.

Looks like Shannon I on the 82. MTOs are about 5 months (6-7 for Dover and Nevis).

Would love to but I have no idea what size to order...the EG I tried on was an 8.5UK in the 888 last and it was a tad small in the toe box. I'm thinking a 9UK but I wear an 8UK in C&J 348 last and Carmina Uetam last. Isn't the 82 a little larger in the toe box than the 888?

I can't say - I only know my 82 size, nothing else. Let's see if anyone else is interested. My plan is to proceed by end of May (alone or otherwise) at the latest.

I'm very interested and May is a perfect time-frame for me. I wonder if Brooks Brothers has any EG shoes on the 82 last?

^ Yes. Galway on 82 last. Order online and return or go in but they only have at certain location (Madison Ave NY for example).

Seriously leaning that way. Mostly still fretting over sizing, as this will be my first EG purchase. With a blucher I can sometimes go with standard width, but (in GC and G&G at least) I generally fit a wide best. Mostly due to a high instep.

I'll get with Leaves on PM and figure it out...
