Details Dover MTO / Burgundy Antique / 606 last / Single sole
Very nice and I like the single sole. Might have to try that in the future.
agree, colour scheme is great. can't put my finger on the last shape though.
The 606 is pretty much the default last that the Dover is made on nowadays. I originally wanted mine on the 82 but EG advised I had it made on either the 606 or the 32, probably because these last both have "symmetric" toe boxes compared to the 82, I guess the symmetry is needed to achieve a well balanced positioning of the apron. In hindsight I am glad I had it made on the 606 and not on the 82. I think the conservatively styled, soft squared toe box of the 606 has the perfect look for the general style of the Dover (not to chiseled and not too sleek).
oops, sorry i didn't comment on your shoes. actually, i played an inside joke to my buddy burton.
boing is the sound when the ball hits the pole, nvm.
wear them in good health.
Ahh, yes, I got the joke but did not have a witty response so I let it go. Most Americans would understand it more as "a swing and a miss." Fritzl doesn't like the Dover, it is an aesthetic he doesn't quite understand. I like it. I like the single sole more than I thought I would.
the aesthetic? no, it's the concept. there are a ton of good examples for this particular style. being different is not always a win-win. also single soles bounce too much in relation to my build. it hurts my feet. so the boing comment has a lot of thought in it. nvm.
on a random note: football jokes are probably not the most appreciated amongst our dutch friends atm. i had to do it... actually, i invite the germans, too, lol.
Well I missed that part of the boing joke but, yes, clearly, well thought out.
you're welcome. i love shoes(for all)
Chicago's RL (Mich Ave) has a limited amount of RLPL shoes @ 50% off + 25% off = approx $464
