Point well taken, but I'd rather get the color I want if spending $1,000+ on shoes. I got a JL model in plum museum calf instead. The color, for what I wanted, is perfect.


Yeah, I've been lusting after the plum museum calf, myself. I should have sucked it up and done a MTO Vale in plum museum calf when JL was still making the Vale.

Very nice comparison also how the lace and stich color influence the overall look.
Since Im going for black details and laces on my upcoming GG Arran MTO these photos
helps me alot and looking at them I feel like I have made the right choice.

The laces in my picture are long gone and replaced with darker ones. I agree with you that darker lacings are more elegant. Looking forward to seeing pics of your Arrans when they arrive!
