Considering all the love and attention that the Dover usually gets in this thread, how come we see so few Nevis'? I personally think it looks great.

I had a opportunity to see a Dover on 606 last recently and I was not impressed. It did not appeal to me because that stitching that connects apron was long. Maybe it's just that I prefer split toes on the round lasts.

    Yes that seems more proportional.

That Dover is really great. I think Dover is best in grain or suede. :)

I like it in grain and suede as well. However, with these materials the stitching along the apron becomes less prominent. The appeal of the Dover in calf is the stitching is prominent.

That's exactly why i like those materials better.

I have Dovers on the 606 and 202. I would put the Dover on the 606 in Dark Oak as one of the top 5 EG models.

I believe you but it did not appeal to me. Maybe it's because I already have G&G Hove. I will check out Dover 202 when I can see it in the real life.

The Nordstrom EGs are generally early to mid 1980s - the Windsors that I have recrafted by EG were also shipped to Nordstrom in 1985:

I don't have pictures here at work but most of the EGs for Cole Haan that I've come across were late 1980s-early 1990s. I don't have any images on my work computer, but you can check An Uptown Dandy or check out a smaller size pair that I'm currently selling for pics of the Cadogan on the 33 last:

Recently purchased the Nevis on the 606 in the same size as my 606 Dovers. The boot fit at least a 1/2 size larger. Strange ....

    They were returned.
