Does anyone have an update on the future availability of Heather Gorse from EG?

I have checked out Rosewood Country Calf as an alternative, and it's just not the same. Hoping for the best.
    Cheers.

    Thanks!

Also got some E/F trees from Skoaktie and they feel a lot bigger than the D/E trees. Can't even get the size 10 one into my size 10 Epsom

I recently ordered a Hove (in midnight) from Leather Soul. Really excited about these beautiful shoes.

My fitting shoe was a dark oak antique Chelsea. They are so nice that I'm having trouble saying goodbye!

Re the fake stitching on Galways. I like form following function. Same with buttons on the cuff of a suit jacket or sport coat. If they don't really button, why have them? Otherwise an imitation.

    Stitching is for a seam.

id be interested in seeing a galway with an actual captoe. Perhaps you could convince EG to make you one?

Well in that case broguing is surely out, too, as the perforations are no longer used for drainage?

And buttons on cuffs are pointless because no one actually wears them open, unless they're a ponce, poseur and preening peacock of Pythonesque proportions... ;)

In fact, you could argue that a regular cap toe is redundant on a boot or shoe unless it's an integral part of the item as opposed to just an extra layer of leather covering another layer...

Agreed! Have them in a few colors including burgundy shell which is killer.

I am wearing my Galway boots today, Nothing fake about these beauties! love them to bits. Most of my jackets have functioning buttons on the sleeves if that is what you mean? but I have never had any use for them! [IMG]
