Thank you both, I think you should consider joining ;)

I believe it will be a very versatile boot that will look great with all sorts of denim and all colours of chinos (though maybe except tan). In other words a perfect boot for casual wear [IMG]

I might, but I currently have 3 other pair of boots on order at this moment. Besides, I would probably want this on Dainite if I were to get a pair.

    Good luck with your MTO.

Edwardian is tan color there are other options out there much cheaper for boots in tan color. I prefer to save money for more unique color offerings from EG. Unless you really like Alderley as a boot in whcih case go for it.

I feel just the opposite way; I prefer to buy quality shoes i classic colours and designs so they can have a stable space in my rotation, and the more exotic colours and designs I'll buy from cheaper brands (say Ed Et Al) since I'll wear them much less. But each to his own, and this is also to say that I'm still building my basis shoe wardrobe [IMG]

    Thanks a lot!

Leaves, thank you for these pictures. Can you tell us a little more about the raindeer leather? Have you seen a pair of shoes in raindeer leather? I assume reindeer leather is more on the casual side.

It's close to suede in texture but a little coarser. I have actually never seen a pair made up in this material. EG tells me they use it mostly for loafers.

^^^ Don't own it, but I've checked it out in person and love it. Don't recall the colour designation and I think the last was 888.

It appears to be the 888, although from some angles it almost appears 606.

To the extent it is not a special color for BB only, it seems to me it must be either rosewood CC or mohagony CC?

Edit: Laufer beat me to it. :D

I really like the play of colors between your shoe and pants

Did anyone of you own the Claverton in a brown tone?

I like this model very much but it is only available in my size (UK12) as a MTO.

I am not sure about Dark Oak.

I have the claverton in dark oak antique, from Leffot in 2009. It's a very nice shoe and has aged nicely. Dark oak antique gets quite dark once you've polished it a few times, FYI.

In retrospect I wish I'd bought a chelsea in dark oak (more subtle - no medallion), but in the beginning I was into the fancier designs (girls notice).

I have the Claverton in chestnut. 82 last with a medallion. I think that it looks better in the lighter colors because you can see the details better

Does anyone has these or similar in twill? Wondering how the fabric holds up. Thanks. The combo shown here By Unipair Guy looks very nice.
