I'm interested in getting a pair of Cranleights. What do folks like between the dark brown utah and the mink suede? What's more versatile?

Any chance of picking these up at a discount from any retailers or does that not really happen? And does EG restock sizing fairly often? They're out of my size currently in the utahs.

I think Mink is more versatile, Utah will serve you better for foul weather. Really depends on your needs. Mink is easier to dress up imo

You can order them as an MTO for no extra charge. I have the brown Utah ones and love them. Super comfortable and versatile. I’m a fan of suede too but it’s less useful as an all round boot.

It might be custom order only, I haven’t seen any restock of dark brown or black Utah on any models in forever …
It’s a bit strange to me because Utah is basically just a stamped version of Delapre, so you’d think they wouldn’t keep one and ditch the other.

It's funny you say that because I do want both.... is that wrong?!? Still question as to which one to get first. Utah seems little beefier and suede more refined but that doesn't really help me pick. I'd be tempted to order both and send one back but they don't have the utah in stock.

Who said that?
Someone mentioned it here last year I believe. Iirc which I honestly don’t said person might have said word came direct from EG store.

Although looking at their catalogue of RTW I haven’t seen any restock of Utah leather shoes and some have been removed entirely. Can’t find any dover models in Utah.

on the topic of no MTO charge if out of stock, I am currently exchanging with EG London and when they told me an out of stock item on the website is not available for me, they did not mention any waived MTO charge. Note: in the past I did get a pair at normal price, but in that case the website did say it was on stock and after my order I got contacted by EG and they offered the model at the usual price, bar the production period of several weeks. Btw. I did find it quite stingy that despite their error and rubber being not more expensive than leather, they wanted a 200 GBP up-charge to have it produced with R1.

Yes, sadly I think it must be a stock item to avoid an MTO fee and any change whatsoever to the standard model incurs a fee too.
