Good afternoon,
Just arrived new Galways in Burnished London Grain and I would ask if you can recommend me Saphir products for cleaning and conditioning? I'm afraid that I'll wash off burnished makeup with improper maintenance.

Thank you!
If using Saphir, stay away from the Medaille D’Or wax paste as this can remove delicate special finishes IME. The creams are the way to go and the Renovateur occasionally. That’s being said, EG burnishing effect doesnt come off that easily so you’ll be fine.

I was thinking about following products, are they ok? Should I add something?
1. For cleaning - Cleanser
2. For conditioning - Lotion or Renovateur Cream, not sure which one, also @jischwar advices bickmore 4. Maybe before season Lotion, and after season Renouver?
3. For impregnation - Super Invulner

I don't have any products for smooth leather yet so I wanted to buy these. For suede I have saphir and I am pretty happy with it so I would like to stay with this brand. As bonus I am able to buy in one local store.

PS: Here are her boots, they look amazing in person. I only have Trickers and C&J, but now I am also considering to grab EG for myself.

The leather you chose isn't fussy. I wouldn't do anything other than brushing regularly and conditioning when dry

I read some instructions on how to care for leather boots, and yes, you're right. Most of the time, just brushing and conditioning (before or on the end of season) is enough. But when the boots come into contact with salt in the winter, it is said that it is recommended to use a cleaner as well. Is that correct?

I also read about each mentioned conditioner and I don't know which one to use.
If I understand correctly, Lotion should be a conditioner for regular use, Renovateur for exceptional use on very dry leather. I also looked at the mentioned Bickmore and it seems to me that it is closer to Lotion.

The boots will be worn mostly in the rain, so I thought it would be a good idea to apply an impregnator - Super Invulner, or does this leather not need it?

Renovateur is basically for restoring the very old shoes with very dry leather, e.g. shoes that are decades old and that haven't been conditioned for very long time. You don't need it at all (especially with new boots you posted above).
Save your money, buy the Bickmore 4 as mentioned above (it doesn't contain any wax therefore it leaves leather breathable) and some good shoe brush. That's all you will need.

That London grain leather is embedded with oils and waxes already. It's perfect for the rain, no need to spray it with anything. If you come into contact with salt, just use a damp rag to wipe it off

A question for those who own boots on both lasts: is it possible/recommendable to size down from the 202 to the 303 last by one half size? From UK10 to 9 1/2?
