That explains the sample sale...
Pretty sure this pic is the same make-up, although if I recall correctly the pair at the sale had a double leather sole instead.
I don't get to order alligator very often but these turned out great. The maple is amazing as well.
How much does an alligator MTO go for?
Also, I think that's a nice choice for it. Simple design to let the leather do the talking.
Ah, thanks for the pic! I was picturing tobacco being a lot darker for some reason.
You've probably been smoking the wrong stuff....
Between $6500-7500 for alligator. I think a lot depends on the currency conversion as well as how many shoes are in the shipment. I piggy-backed on a order so I didn't have to pay a ton for shipping. I got a 10% discount
wow you won the styleforums today
That's a very generous offer. Hope you find yourself something nice. I'd be curious to hear if there is anything good in a size 11.5/12E . Thanks.
The downside for SC is their funky designs that belong neither to English, Italian, nor Austro-Hungarian styles.
You're absolutely right. The upside, though, is that they are flexible to change design upon request (at a surcharge of course). One interesting thing: I spoke to Ethan of the Armoury a couple of weeks ago. Apparently they are having Koji Suzuki designing shoes for StC (a few of them already have appeared on the Armoury's blog) Best of two worlds!
link to the koji designs?
gorgeous. this pair available at the sale?
They were on Wed - size 12.5/13D though.
I think it has been a few, the split toe is one of them:
