Hello everyone
I recently purchased 2 pair of Edward green
1)Duke 137 mink unline suede in UK 7 2) Belgravia 184 UK 7 in mink

Duke fitting well with no experience of heel slipping but lack of arch support.
Belgravia is good at length with the ball joint at correct position, but there are significant heel slipping while bending. *I have a very slim heel

Are the heel slipping issues going to improve after the sole broke in?

I would like to replace the pair of duke in Hampstead UK7 lined version, will the arch support becomes better?

Finally I tried a pair of Uk7 D/E shoe tree in both pair and it looks a bit snug. Are they fitting ok?

Thank you very much.

Having been in the same position, I would definitely say it does get better after the soles are broken in. However, if you have any room on the instep, you should try a tongue pad. I use it on mine and it has been helpful in reducing heel slippage.

Finally I put a Uk7 D/E shoe tree on both pair and it looks a bit snug. are the shoe tree ok?
Looks alright to me, although a bit more compressed than usual. Is the front part of the shoe tree inserted all the way in? I usually push it forward manually after inserting the shoe tree which helps a bit.

The heel slip should reduce, but may not go entirely. If it doesn’t then consider an insole or tongue pad.

The shoe trees look fine- there is still a gap there.

Shoe trees look fine. They appear to be straightening out the vamp which is ultimately what you need them to do.

As for the fit of these shoes, can you tell me if the heel slippage is only found in area A or does it extend through A & B?

I'm curious about another fit issue. How is the instep and topline on your foot in terms of compression? From this angle, it appears as if there is a gap there. Is that right?

Thanks!
There are actually heel slipping at both A and B
I found the instep ok but there are some gaps at the lateral side of my feet.

Love this colour. I swear Shanklins are the most comfortable shoes I own.
Thanks! I find the volume just a touch too high in these compared to my other 202 lasted shoes/boots. Have to wear with thicker socks, which I feel like defeats the purpose of unlined boots
