Thank you for your advice. Can I ask you whether you also have heel slips when you wear Audley?

My pleasure to assist.

I did experience heel issues in the initial stages of wearing the shoes. After about the 4th wear, it stopped since I think it had molded a bit more.

How long have you owned and used them?

I wore 4 times now. Maybe I should give more time to wear then. Since you mentioned that you wear both Audley and Chelsea, which shoes that you wear more than the other? I just want to know which one fits better as time goes.

Sounds like a bit more wear would help out the shoes to break in at the heels.

It would be unfair to say because I prefer the fit (more snug), and aesthetic appeal of the Chelseas. Consequently, that gets worn more often. I kind of forgot about the Audley after I picked up the Chelsea hahaha.

I hear you. I have an Ebony Utah grain Dover, but for some reason I keep attempting to convince myself I "need" the nightshade color. I try to rationalize not purchasing it by telling myself it is a non-grained version of the Ebony Utah.

Feel like I should attend a Shoe Owners Anonymous Help Group. SF does not help in this regard. :bounce2::brick:

What kind of shoe care products do people here use on utah leather? I see that EG recommend creams rather than waxes. I am curious what people's experience is with different types of products including concrete brands.

Anyone used Saphir Renovateur for example?

For the grains, I typically use Venetian Cream and a wax (Saphir) .

I use the Renovateur for the smooth leathers, then creams (Saphir, Burgols), and waxes (Saphir).

Bick 4 for the boots as I find it hydrates remarkably well. Above mentioned creams and waxes. I use Obenauf for the welts and soles.
