Will list on b/s and the bay in a few days but I’m selling a pair of Doak Dovers. Size 8/8.5E on the 606 last. Factory installed metal tips. I wore these exactly once and I need a half size bigger after a foot injury.

PM me if interested.

Asking $825 shipped in the USA.

I use Skoak’s trees for many of my shoes. I’ve found they fit quite a few brands and models well but I don’t own any 202 last shoes so can’t say how they’d fit. Trickers and Loake trees from Pediwear may be a better option for the rounded 202 last.

Hi all,

I recently purchased a pair of EG Galway in Espresso Suede (202 last), from a private individual on EB. My purchase is still potentially ok to be return, as stated in the conditions. I thought you might help me answer a few questions on this model in particular:

- looking at the welt, would you say it is a version of a storm welt/veldtschoen or anything similar?
- we can see a slight break in the welt (above the stitching) on the close up picture: coud that have made the shoes sold as seconds, but without compromise their integrity? That small break seems apparent on the other shoe as well (roughly the same spot)
- additionally, there seems like a bit of product (glue) might have been needed at the junction near the heel

Overall the pair came with box, accessories and shoes trees, thus I have no doubt on the fact that there are EG made shoes. But if worth the shot, at a certain max price point?

Thanks for the input!

Gents,

I am thinking of an EG GMTO using a MTO field boot pattern based on Kentmere minus the straps. See the boot MTOed via Leffot in Black London Grain.
Thinking -
Burgundy London Grain
72 last
Storm Welt
Ridgeway Sole

@Stefan88 ran this by the good guys at EG and the price is expected to be 1030 GBP w/o VAT. Pretty cool I think .. We would need a total of 6 participants.

Cheers

- That’s a storm welt
- That’s the beginning and end of the storm welt; totally normal
- That’s fine

The welt is a strip of leather , so welted shoes will always have a joint, usually under the arch near the heel where it is least visible. Totally normal.
