I'm biased and definitely think Edward Green holds and edge over most other makers. The shoes are always "just right" in terms of look, and the quality is top.

EG is indeed pinnacle of machine-made shoes but insanely overpriced (same as JL GG) with current mark-up factor approaching 6.
Comparing specs, to me, seems to miss the point.
