I guess I have to pose this question to all of you. Most of you own a gazillion pairs of shoes, and when we say shoes we are saying really the best of the absolute best. Now this is what I'm wondering: are any of you willing to join me in saying that the EG Chelsea on the 82 last in doak is your absolute favorite? It's something about its simplicity and its understated elegance. Whenever I wear my pair and come back home at night to take it off, I look at the other 30 pairs I own and go like 'I really could live without all of you'. The next morning I have another 30 choices (a very beautiful shoe collection after I got rid of many pairs I was not 100% happy with) but I still want to go back to the one I wore the day before.

I find the 202 Chelsea in D and C widths even more beautiful than the Chelsea 82 E. I’ve done side by side comps. The shape of the 202 in narrowed widths is simply sublime

Damn that's a fine pair of shoes. No you have me questioning my choice to organize an mto instead of just picking up a pair of those beauties. I suppose i could change my order since i don't have to pay until the trunk show proper starts.

Damnit! Now im stuck with more indecision !

Edward Green Newmarket vs GG Burnham

Can anyone who owns both (or has handled) both comment on styling and fit of these Chelsea boots. I presume they are both very well built so quality not in question.

Also on the GG Burnham, what last is the best looking? I’m looking at photos on the TG73 and struggling with the sharpness of the last. Does it look less aggressive in person?

On the EG Newmarket, I’ve seen most done on the 82 last. I can also see it on 606 but not sure about 202 or 888.

EG has a lot of shades of brown. Can you be more specific?

@steveyoo1983 at Gentlemen’s Footwear has an unlined 606 Dover in snuff suede in your size in stock.

It certainly looks like it but unfortunately 202C/202D is not a last. 99% of people won't fit in a C width. Or is 202C/D same in width as an 82E? I never tried the 202 because it looked too bulbous, at least in pics on my screen.

Of course we need to mention here that EG claims that 202 is the most popular last, even today! Which I find interesting and somewhat intriguing. Maybe it is a great last and I just don't get it. If I found a pair in my size heavily discounted, that might tempt me to try it just to satisfy my curiosity.

I just placed an order for the Chelsea on the 915 last, even though I have a feeling I may not like it as it looks too pointy. But I wanted to satisfy my curiosity there too. It should be here next week and we'll see. I'll take some comparison pics next to the 82 last.

Do you know how thick slim rubber sole is? Is it good for winter?
Thanks
