I took them in a half size down.

I always find last comparisons beneficial, so I snapped these today.

The calf Dover is on the E888 last.
The suede Dover is on the E606 last.

I took the same size in each 10.5/11 and couldn’t be happier. The unlined suede fit *slightly* more roomy, but it suits the more casual use.

When I last tried 606/202, I found that they worked best with the same size as 82 but D instead of E width.

I apologise if this topic has been covered elsewhere.

I'm wondering about Edward Green's last 32. Their webstore does not list it, but it seems popular in several finer shoe stores of Asia.

    I found this tidbit online:
    http://uptowndandy.blogspot.com/2012/03 ... om-to.html

...but I cannot find the original discussion that the author mentions. So, does anyone here know more about this last? Is it truly the master last that all other EG lasts are versions of, and why has it been discontinued in their regular RTW range?

As to master last, seems a ridiculous concept, I do not know. I believe the 32 was the original Dover last and stil quite relevant. (Expectation of correction is strong.)

Thread has been relatively quiet lately, so posting a photo of a pair of EG for RLPL Ancel model double monks. 888 last.

Got them on eBay for a great deal. They are now resting in shoe trees for a week or so after I applied some saphir renovateur.
