The ecton is sleeker in appearance and more 'dressy'. The dover is more casual imo.
Why is there a pic of Aldens in this thread? Will no one else man up and tell that dude to stay in his lane?
Thanks! I certainly enjoy them.
Agreed. I don't see a lot of talk about the Inverness in antique burgundy on SF but it's a great shoe. And the depth of color makes it very versatile.
The Ecton is very nice
I think the Alden NST is just a comparison to the Dovers...
Don't like the Alden split toe design. But love the beautiful rich Horween shell.
I like both. Two separate categories really for me. Most if my shoes are EG but Alden is the second in my collection.
I don't categorically dislike split toes. Just most of them including NST and dovers. Too phallic in my eyes.
I do like Vass Norwegian however.
dont like ecton or inverness
I live the Inverness and Malvern... in 5 different colors... each on the 82 and 888...
Your penis looks like a Norwegian split toe?
How would you know darling
Inverness and Malvern for the unbelievers:
And a pair of Ranells in Edwardian antique for Derek:
