I like these two
Prices seem pretty good as well
Zonkey makes hand welted. Too bad the designs are off.
Why on earth would you go out and name a high end shoe company "zonkey"? I googled it and was informed that there exists an animal that is a cross between a zebra and a donkey
You can read the explanation on the website.
I agree its a bit wierd.
The sailor last is ugly.
Need some help please.
Can someone tell me what size these EG's on eBay would fit as. . . (US size, true to size, wide, etc.)?
That's my boot. Well worth it IMO.
My best cordovan shoes are from EG- much nicer than any Aldens I've owned.
They're meant to be my snow boots and will look better and better when broken in. I originally ordered a rubber, knobbed outsole, but they got lost in the process.
... and about 2.5 times more expensive.
True. Don't get me wrong, I like Aldens, but they have REAL quality control problems. To me, the Sandringhams above are an anomaly.
zonkey stuff i've seen online is kinda funky. i'm guessing that's the point =)
Looks like 10D US
The Zonkies are made in the Veneto region of Italy. (according to the web site).
Sort of explains their vibe - Owners in Vienna, Plant in Italy.
My inlaws live in this part of the world........wonder if I can track down where they are made next time I go.
So the 'E' doesn't mean wide here? Or does this model/last run slim?
Speaking of EG quality control, I ordered an antique burgundy belt and they sent me one that resembled nightshade after 2 months of wait time so I have to wait another 2 months.
Separate names with a comma.
