Ordering from Edwards of Manchester to take advantage of their sale that just ended. They have been absolutely great to work with (but I can definitely tell they are swamped -- probs lots of SF orders).

I think I may now be swayed to go the no speedhooks route...

Nice CHRK33, it was a pretty sweet deal. Keep us posted! I ordered a pair of Inverness that was on backorder so it will take a couple of months in addition to a pair of C&J Weymouths (passed on GG wholecuts for now). Oh yeah, I ordered enough shoe trees to make half of the forest in Northampton barren.

There's something lovely about a pair of wholecuts in chestnut tan with a nice camel toe.

I use Saphir cream products in similar colors as the leather on the shoe. Those are factory antique finishes on all three shoes.

    Thanks all!

I haven't since the antiquing happens a layer or two down. You'd really have to scrub to mess it up.

I had a pair of lightly antiqued Saint Crispins once that I ruined with a bit too much Saphir Reno, and then ruined it some more with Lexol cleaner. Lesson learned: use a minimal amount of both products, otherwise you'll be sending your shoes back to the manufacturer for repair.

Will EG just refinish the uppers or darken a lighter to a darker?

Hmmm - let me be more specific: for the Inverness, do you use Mahogany or Burgundy/Bordeaux?

And your new avatar is even more ridiculously mesmerizing than the last one.

Some great deals at LSBH. Just ordered a Holborn in antique hazel from Bryan for $625.00. He was great to deal with. Not sure how much they have left on sale.

Took advantage of that sale this year, myself. Missed out on last year. Snagged myself some antique Russian reindeer (GJC, though, not EG). Just arrived today :slayer:

Would like some help with EG MTO options. I placed an order for a pair of Galway at Edwards of Manchester but they don't answer my questions. Probably to much to do.

What is my opinions regarding lining color, welt, eylet color and how's fully lined compare to unlined?

    Other tips with EG MTO?

    Thanks!
