Just wanted to let everyone know who expressed interest in the Galway MTO that, courtesy of Leaves, we now have 5 confirmed people for the boot. ONLY ONE MORE and we are ready to roll.

As a reminder, the specs are as follows:

    Dark Oak Antique calf (lower)
    Walnut country calf (upper)
Antiqued brass exposed eyelets with speedhooks
    Fully lined shaft
    Medium antique edgetrim
    Brown Dainite Sole
    Lining color?

    Basically, the following boot:

The price would be 8700 SEK including VAT; for those of us in the United States, without VAT the price would be 6960 SEK, which is right around $1030, which is a pretty amazing price for these boots.

Please PM if you want to be the lucky sixth participant. We would all thank you.

That galway has been staring at me. Any idea how much it'd be with a cognac or dark brown cigarish shell instead of Dark Oak? I'd be 100% in for that boot

Had the dark oak sandringham, was pretty damn nice. Really want this boot as well and at $500 deposit now it's super tempting

Interesting I could go for either brown or black Dainite sole. It matters not to me. The lining too. If I had to pick a color I would take dark brown but I will go with majority as long as it is not eccentric.
Also can we confirm that will be shipped by Swedish Post rather than by FEDEX/UPS/DHL. I had things shipped from Sweden by Swedish Post without problems

Finally saw them in person. The straps are more narrow in person which I find somewhat less masculine...

    Not a fan anymore.

Just received the request for the payment details from your order department, but it's still not clear if I am in for this group order.
I expected more information about sizing before such request. I think I shouldn't order the $1K boots that most probably will be too narrow.

My first idea was to have Gallways in 9,5F but I've heard that you do not accept another width than the other participants. Is this correct?
I have no experience with 82 last, while 888 in 9,5E is too snug, especially in the toe area.
Not sure if going 1/2 size up would help, what is the difference in width between 9,5 and 10?

    sdolina,

Look I have both lasts 82 and 888. They both fit the same. Be careful we are talking about 1k that cannot be returned or exchanged.

Hi Sdolina, I have found a way to work around the width issue. If I were you I would go for a F width and this is what I have noted down in my notes for you. Please e-mail me if you have any further questions.
