I am considering the purchase of a pair of EG Cardiffs in Acorn. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these shoes and what colors it will work with. As I primarily own black/navy suits, I'd like something that I can wear relatively frequently. Will the acorn color be too much of a contrast?

Also, I'm wondering if anyone has had any experiences with the 89 last. From what I've read it seems to run a little large. I fit perfectly in a 888 last, so I'm afraid that the 89 may be a bit loose perhaps. Any comments? Suggestions?

    Thanks.

I've never worn the 888, but in my experience, the 89 runs about a 1/2 size large. I'm a solid 11.5US, and I wear a 10.5/11 in the Cardiff.
