I popped into Ede and Ravenscroft to buy an off-the-rack dinner jacket and I ended up ordering two MTM suits as well at £595 each (discounted from £795 during the month of November). Good move? Should I go back and get 2 more?

Measurements taken by tailor on site, made in Mauritius (not their own factory). I was quite impressed with the customization options. No further fitting.

You will be getting a good product; however, fit is an issue and why you should not purchase any more (E&R MTM) suits until you have tried the final product. You may also want to change certain features for future suits; e.g. no of buttons, lapel, pocket style, vent style, etc.

I have RTW Gieves' garments from 2006 that are still part of my work wardrobe; Gieves and E&R both use Wensum. With proper care and rotation, they should get many years of usage.

I smell shilling. Or sausages.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
