Buy if you like, at least you will look somewhat fasionable. But going overboard with colors/blings can certainly distract people away from your face.

What?

There's a difference between buying something that looks good because you like it, and buying an Ed Hardy tee...

Yes, because you clearly have your finger on the pulse of this memberbase when you call us "emo" ....geeez

I think you summed up 1/2 of the reason why people here are not EH fans... show me one EH shirt that's not hideous, loud and obnoxious.

The other reason would be that most don't want to look like a walking billboard for a brand that has been adapted as a staple for "the douchebag" look

I don't know about where you live but in Baltimore most dudes in EH can be seen either in a bro-pack headed to a strip club or followed by an apologetic girl who embarassed by her drunkeñfight-picking ass of a boyfriend

I know, then we listen to The Promise Ring and update our livejournals with frownzy faces.

I think these clothes fail the "if it had no brand name/logo, would you still buy it?" test.

Britney Spears and David Beckham both look pretty good in their EH, but I don't disagree some of the celeb pix looks pretty hideous. At the same time some of the member pictures looks pretty hideous too.

It's not how the clothes look like but how you dress them.

It's easy to hate Don Hardy and Von Dutch. The **** is terrible.

But both brands are the brainchildren of Christian Audigier. And I have to say, I'm impressed by his marketing skills. It's not easy to take a t-shirt or a hat line and blow it out into a huge global machine - however tasteless it is. It's not easy to get that diverse group of celebrities to wear your stuff. He's definitely got serious business talent.

I own a polo shirt from EH(got it for 20 dollars at Marshalls), that's TAME by the picture's standards..

and it is a tribute to their marketing strategy of how I get random comments about it like "wow..that's an EXPENSIVE" shirt...
etc.

They really have done a number on us consumers and getting their brand
into our consumer conscience.

Except when it comes to EH, and everyone looks bad.
