(Not really sure which forum this belongs in but I hope you will find it entertaining all the same...)

Ebay's Global Shipping program is supposed to take care of shipping for the sellers to make it easier to sell. Only problem is that the prices are out of control.
A few days ago I wanted to buy a 22 gram belt buckle for $30, but the shipping was $36. That was bad enough but today takes the cake. Check out Ebay's Global Shipping price. How is this even possible?

The seller is the one who loses a sale here, but Ebay also loses its cut. What a fail.

I generally don't buy from people who use the GSP, or if I do I message them and ask them to relist it without using the program (if you have good feedback and explain, most will). Some of their duty calculations to Canada are rediculous -- like $80 in fees on a $140 item rediculous. There seems to be to real formula to how they are calculated (the fees are even different between viewing my watch list on my phone vs. my PC), or if there is it in no way coincides with anything in normal customs laws.

Pitney Bowes is basically just lining it's pockets with your money as Ebay attempts to make itself an Amazon clone. This probably killed my international purchasing by like 70%.
