There is one store in lower Manhattan that has lures people in all the time by claiming they sell Zegna suits. All the suits say "Tessuto." People buy them. Only if you really push do you finally get the sales staff to admit the suits are not made by Zegna.

I'm surprised that Filene's sells these "Tessuto by Zegna" suits! They seem designed to confuse people, and are basically a rip-off. I know Filene's is a business and a deep discounter, but I'd be real surprised to see these type of suits sold at Saks Off5th, let alone Neiman's Last Call.

Does anyone know of any other well known retailers that sell this crap or similar stuff? I mean the big retailers. I'm well aware that small shops sell them all the time.

Size 42 100% Vicuna Overcoat. Unfortunately it has lot's of issues!

At least the seller provides good pictures and seems honest.

I've always dreamed of a 100% Vicuna Overcoat(and this one is within my budget), but I think I'll pass on this one.

Someone better hurry if they have interest, about 20 minutes to go:

BTW: Has anyone ever bought a "Project" like this and had success?

Sadly, this is probably as close to a 100% Vicuna Overcoat as I'll get, but I'm waiting for pejsek to post that he found an Oxxford Vicuna Overcoat(perfect condition) at a Thrift store for $6.00!!!! pejsek, my friend, are you out there?

I don't know if I would call them a scam. They are just cheap suits that use Zegna fabric. Both the Filene's on F street and the one on Conneticut have them I was there today. They cost about $400.

If it's any consolation, I don't think they actually sell them. They've been there forever.

The amazing thing is that there is a bid on this "beautiful item"!

This seller is certainly not afraid to hype his items. Check out the description and price on this Miyake coat:

To quote the seller this item "should be in a museum"!

Wow! And look at this! This seller's prices are amazing. Check out this bargain:
