I've been doing some recent scouring of ebay in search of suits/sportcoats, ties, and shirts and figured I'd ask for anyone to recommend quality ebay sellers or give some guidelines as to how to tell whether something is a good deal or not. I'm looking mainly at brands like brioni, kiton, borrelli, zegna, oxxford, etc. which don't seem to be as popular targets for fakes like the armani/prada/gucci stuff that seems to be flooding the listings, but I'm still curious as to how frequently people try to fake those brands or sell inferior material. Finally I've noticed that many of the "Kiton seven-fold ties" I've seen up for auction (this, for example) don't have the patterned silk continue on the back, which seems contrary to what I saw when I checked out some (what I assume to be) Kiton seven fold ties at Neiman's. Are those really seven fold ties or is that just false advertising?
